“My wife and I had never built a home before, but we knew what we wanted.  After meeting with John, the ‘can do’ attitude was present every step of the way.  He took the time to completely understand what we hoped to accomplish, and was helpful in managing our expectations along the way.  Probably the best part of working with John was that he always told us what was needed and what to expect, and gave us ample time to make comfortable decisions.

Working with John and his crew was a very satisfying experience.  Believe it or not, I told him when the construction process was completed that I was almost sorry it was over, because we so thoroughly enjoyed every step along the way.  Additionally, his carpenters and subcontractors took a great deal of pride in making our dream a reality, and many of them have told us how proud they were on the work they did in our home.

In the end, the fact that we have exactly the home we set out to build, is a bonus we enjoy every day.

We decided to move our family in order to have our sons attend high school in a different district.  We spent a fair amount of time looking at existing homes, some of them new construction.  After visiting with a close friend in the construction industry we knew John Stites was the contractor for us.  We toured several of his spec homes in Rochester but ultimately decided we wanted to be in the Pleasant Plains school system.  Luckily for us we could have the best of both worlds – Pleasant Plains schools and a custom home built for us by Hasara Construction.

Hasara Construction not only builds the quality of home we knew we wanted but John was a great fit for our personalities as well.  I am a realtor and commercial developer so I knew the steps involved but I am not a residential specialist.  We needed someone who would guide us through the process but allow us to make the decisions.  John is an expert at this.  He kept us on track, gave us plenty of advance notice about the next choices to be made and helped guide us by suggesting styles and products in keeping with our design.

John’s team, from his own employees to his subcontractors, was terrific.  Each one was pleasant to work with and obviously knowledgeable about their field.  We could not have put together a better team.  I visited our home nearly every day toward the end of the process and was always greeted warmly.

You hear many horror stories about couples building custom homes fighting with each other or their contractor.  Our experience was the opposite.  We would do it all again in a heartbeat – if we weren’t so happy with our home!

Hasara Construction/ John Stites built our home approximately 5 years ago. The thing that impressed us with the whole process was Hasara Construction’s concern with our needs without sacrificing quality and value. In most situations, the builder thinks that the bottom line cost is the main concern, which is truly a concern, but John worked with us on what meant the most for the need of our family. John was also very good with getting the most we could get for what we could afford and still satisfy our highest needs. 

John has been in the building business for most of his life and it is apparent.  His knowledge of the market and what is the correct product or material for the house was great. We felt that all of our questions were answered with the utmost expertise, making every decision we had to make very comfortable.

AWESOME!!!  This is the best adjective we know to describe our new home built by John Stites, Hasara Construction.  After being raised on farms, we decided we would love to find a perfect lot with some privacy, trees and build the dream home we had been talking about for many years.  Even though I have worked in the real estate industry for over 20 years, I did not realize what a project of this magnitude would entail.  It is at this point when you want to have the best expertise you can receive.  We found that expertise in John Stites.  He has over 30 years experience and knowledge to tap from.  John and I have a valuable history of working together on building projects and Dick and I felt confident in our decision to choose him as our builder.   We LOVE our new home!!!!
